Did you hear this? The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced a final rule to increase the filing fee for Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing, to account for inflation.
The adjustment, based on the Consumer Price Index, will raise certain premium processing fees from $1,500 to $1,685, $1,750 to $1,965, and $2,500 to $2,805.
When is the new fee taking into effect?
The increase, effective from Feb. 26, 2024, is part of the USCIS Stabilization Act and aims to generate revenue for premium processing services, improve adjudication processes, address backlogs, and fund USCIS adjudication and naturalization services.
Be careful! If a Form I-907 is received with an incorrect filing fee after Feb. 26, 2024, it will be rejected and the fee returned.
