New Updates on Form I-485, Adjustment of Status
To make Form I-485 more user-friendly and easier to understand for applicants, USCIS recently updated the form and instruction in April 2020.- New Formatting - New spacing and columns make the form easier to read
- A separate Form G-325A, Biographic Information, is no longer needed
- General eligibility and inadmissibility questions have been organized and listed in logical groups
- The instruction now has two parts:
- General instructions - Apply to every applicants
- Additional instructions - You only need to read the part that's related to your specific immigration category. Not all categories have additional instructions.

Remember to download the latest Form I-485 on USCIS's website here! Using an outdated form will lead to application rejection.
USCIS Launched a New Website Design
USCIS recently launched a new website design to allow applicants to find resources more easily. Let's check out what has been updated:- New layout (of course!) for users to easily locate information
- Explore My Options feature added for applicants to determine their eligibility for benefits
- Multilingual resources access, especially for Spanish users
- File online page - log in or create a new account
- More resources added for Citizenship Resource Center - for immigrants to become US citizens through naturalization.
